Admission Requirements
Entry Conditions & Admission Criteria
In accordance with the standards of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Northern Technical University
Primary Direct Specialisation
A Bachelor's degree in Business Management Technologies from any government or private university accredited by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education.
Accepted Supporting Specialisations
Related administrative and financial specialisations approved by the departmental academic committee — subject to individual review and formal approval on a case-by-case basis.
Iraqi Degrees
The degree must be issued by a government or accredited private university or college within Iraq.
Non-Iraqi Degrees
The degree must be an original certificate formally recognised and equivalated by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Minimum Threshold
An overall GPA of no less than 65% or a grade of Good, in accordance with the annual postgraduate admissions regulations currently in force.
Exemptions & Special Regulations
Exemptions or special conditions may apply for Ministerially-approved admission channels (e.g. martyrs' dependants, persons with disabilities, etc.).
Nature of the Examination
A unified competitive academic examination held at Hawija Technical College, covering the core specialist subject areas of Business Management Technologies.
Passing Requirement
The examination must be passed successfully in order to proceed to subsequent stages of the admissions process — academic certificates alone are not sufficient.
Duration of Full-Time Commitment
Complete dedication to study is required throughout the full duration of the programme — both the preparatory year (taught modules) and the research year (thesis).
Concurrent Employment Not Permitted
No concurrent employment or parallel study commitments that conflict with the full-time attendance and engagement requirements of the programme will be accepted.
No-Objection Certificate NOC
A formal No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer — the Ministry or institution to which the applicant belongs — must be submitted at the time of application.
Formal Study Leave
The applicant must undertake to provide official study leave documentation and confirm full-time enrolment following the announcement of final admission results.
Verification of Academic Eligibility
Confirming that the applicant holds the required Bachelor's degree in the specified field of study with a GPA of no less than 65%, and verifying the formal recognition of the degree.
Obtaining Proficiency Certificates & Assembling Documents
Securing all three proficiency certificates (English, Computer & Digital Technology, Arabic) and compiling the complete set of official documents required for the application file.
Submission of the Online Application
Completing the electronic application form, uploading all required documents, and submitting within the specified deadline published in the annual admissions announcement.
Unified Competitive Examination
Sitting and successfully passing the specialist competitive examination held at the College in the core subject areas of Business Management Technologies.
Comprehensive Medical Examination
Undergoing a comprehensive medical examination at an approved health facility and submitting the certificate of fitness to study to the College admissions committee.
Publication of Final Admission Results & Enrolment
Official publication of final admission decisions, followed by completion of formal registration procedures and notification of the programme commencement date.
