Department of Financial and Banking Technologies
The Finance and Banking Department focuses on providing students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to understand and operate within financial institutions and markets. The program covers a wide range of topics, including financial management, investment analysis, banking operations, risk management, and international finance.
Providing high-quality technical education that makes the targeted return from the education process more efficient and distinctive by developing technical capabilities, social and personal skills and work values in a constantly changing environment in the financial and banking field.
1- Filling the existing and renewed need for specialized financial and banking expertise in which students study banking and finance management techniques, as well as topics related to monetary, financial and investment policies.
2- Preparing graduates in the field of finance and banking through research and studies prepared by the teaching staff of professors and lecturers.
3- Working on developing the banking system, financial markets and other financial institutions operating in the country and spreading financial and banking awareness in society.
4- Developing and enhancing financial and banking skills and capabilities among the department’s graduates.
Academic Program of the Department:-
Program Objective:-
The main objective is to prepare specialized technical (administrative) cadres to serve the various banking and production sectors, and to contribute to the development of society by working in the fields of banking accounting according to a high-level technical path regarding business, administrative, financial, legal and other matters by contributing to the preparation of future programs and plans.
Study pattern and period:-
Bachelor of Financial and Banking Technologies extends for four academic years and the subjects are given during two semesters each year.
Study environment and course evaluation:-
The program will be taught in Arabic and English on campus, and the courses and a list of suggested readings will be provided to help students learn the basic concepts of financial and banking technologies, as there are exams for each course and mid-semester exams and project papers, in addition to the final exam which is usually held at the end of the academic year.
Graduation requirements:-
The student is required to successfully complete (47) study and research subjects in addition to (157) accredited units.
