The Department of Financial and Banking Technologies is one of the main academic departments at Hawija Technical College, affiliated with the Northern Technical University. It was established in response to the pressing need to train specialized personnel in the fields of finance and banking. The department focuses on providing students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to work in financial institutions and banking markets. Its program includes topics such as financial management, investment analysis, banking operations, risk management, and international finance. The Bachelor of Science in Financial and Banking Technologies program spans four academic years, divided into two semesters per year, and courses are taught in both Arabic and English.  The department aims to meet the ongoing demand for specialized professionals in the fields of monetary, fiscal, and investment policies, while working to develop the country’s banking system and financial markets. To graduate, students are required to complete 47 courses and research projects—equivalent to 157 credit hours—with a focus on developing the financial and banking skills essential for the labor market.
