Al-Huwayjah Technical College concludes a scientific course
on (Strategies for promoting a culture of sustainability in societies)
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Danouk, Dean of the College.
The Department of Business Administration Technology, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and University Performance Evaluation Division, organized a scientific course on (Strategies for Promoting a Culture of Sustainability in Societies)
The course was lectured by:-
– Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Danouk
– Mr. Mohammed Jawad Ahmed
Teachers at the College.
A number of members and students of the College attended it
The course dealt with:
– The concept of sustainability and its various dimensions (economic, social and environmental).
– The importance of sustainability for societies and its role in achieving sustainable development.
– The role of individuals and societies in applying the principles of sustainability in various aspects of daily life
The course showed:
– The importance of combining the efforts of all members of society to achieve sustainability.
– The necessity of including sustainability topics in educational curricula.
– The importance of launching community awareness campaigns to promote a culture of sustainability.
– The role of community initiatives and projects in achieving sustainability.
The course aimed to:
– Provide participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to understand and apply the principles of sustainability in their communities.
– Develop participants’ abilities to apply the principles of sustainability in various aspects of daily life.
– Encourage participants to exchange experiences and knowledge and form networks for communication and cooperation in the field of sustainability.
– Contribute to building a more sustainable future for future generations.
The course concluded with the following recommendations:
– The need to include sustainability topics in educational curricula.
– Launch community awareness campaigns to promote a culture of sustainability.
– Support community initiatives and projects that contribute to achieving sustainability.
– Provide the necessary resources and training for individuals and entities concerned with sustainability.
– Encourage scientific research and development in the field of sustainability.
