Assistant Professor Dr. Basir Khalaf Khazal, Head of the Department of Business Administration Technology,
participated in the discussion of a master’s thesis at the Technical Administrative College/Mosul,
specializing in Business Administration Technology. The thesis was titled “Intellectual Capital and the Extent of Its Contribution to Achieving the Requirements of Total Environmental Quality Management: A Survey Study of the Opinions of Managers at the Badush Cement Plant – Expansion,” by student Iyad Ahmed Hassan.
The thesis aimed to analyze the extent of the impact of intellectual capital with its dimensions (human capital,
organizational capital, customer capital, relational capital) as an independent variable,
in achieving the requirements of total environmental quality management represented by (top management support and commitment,
customer focus, continuous improvement, teamwork, environmental awareness) as a dependent variable.
The study highlights the presence of intellectual capital in the Badoush Cement Plant/Expansion,
but it is not fully invested. Furthermore, the plant seeks to implement the requirements of total environmental quality management (TQM), but this has not met the required level of attention and application.
The study relied on an analytical methodology by designing a hypothetical diagram that illustrates the relationships of influence and correlation between the study variables.
Data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of (54) items, distributed to (206) individuals, including managers, heads of departments and units, assistants,
and those with experience and expertise. (200) valid questionnaires were retrieved for analysis. Other tools were also used, such as personal interviews and field visits. Data was analyzed using SPSS V.26 and AMOS V.23.
